    iR3170C Transfer belt broken

    Hi all,
The transfer belt on my Canon iR 3170C is broken.
I found a second hand transfer belt. It seem to be in good condition but I don't know how to put it in the transfer belt assy. So i think it is neccesary to make some adjustments. Please a service or handbook manual for this machine. I am a Xerox tech and my mail is stoadis@gmail.com
    Thanks a lot !

There aren't any service mode adjustments that need to be done other than maybe a Pg16 test print to check color registration.
Removing the ITB assy from the machine is pretty daunting if you've never done it before..have to remove the right hand side door/fixing unit/raise the fixing drive gears out of the way/remove the ITB cleaning assy/ etc etc. and all that just to get the thing out..!!!!
It gets worse if the machine has an internal finisher and buffer pass.
And then you have to disassemble the ITB unit and remove the belt...THAT'S the easy part.
you're really going to need that manual ..sorry i can't help you more but the manuals that I have aren't mine to give
