Hi,

I have a canon irc 2380 in which the error 240 sometimes appears .... it always happens in the morning

Does anyone know the problem?

power off>Pull out the Memory DIMMs> clean ends & re-seat / also clean and re-seat the Boot Rom

what is the sub-code xxxx ?

E240 Error in communication of controller

0000 Error in communication data. Check connector, check connection of sub PCB in the
controller box, check / replace DC controller PCB / main controller PCB.
0001 =There is no response when 3 sec passed since the main controller had sent the pickup request to DC controller during printing.
0002 =There is no response when 4 sec passed since the main controller had sent the request for image output to DC controller during printing.
0003 =The engine is activated when jam occurs.

Before replacing any parts try re-seating all circuit boards that plug into MCON and DCON.






for some reason> bad fixing film unit can also cause a E240.
