Hello everyone.
Has anybody else been having problems with iRC ADV7260 series machines throwing "replace cleaning web" message too early. Have 2 of these machines at one customer location that throw this message and the Web is no where near used up and you cannot clear the message from within service mode.
The only resolution I have found so far is to replace the Web out sensor. Once this is done, the message goes away ( for a while anyway).
Both machines at this location have done this several times, and each time it is resolved by changing the sensor. So far I have had to change the sensor twice on one machine and the other machine is on its 3rd sensor replacement and neither of the machines webs have actually run low.
Called Canon tech support here in Canada and the were unable to give a solution ( they actually called me back to find out what I did to repair the machine). So far changing the sensor seems to resolve the issue for a while, then mysteriously the message comes back. The problem is, I am afraid when the message comes on that the customer will only have so many copies before it goes inti error code and shuts printing down so we just keep changing the sensor.
Anybody else seen this, or as Canon tech Support tells me "you are the first one in Canada to call about this issue".......
Any ideas or input is welcome. Thanks
