We have a 2870 in the field that will run up to 20-30 copies without any problems, but if you run a larger job it starts making this loud clicking noise and jams right as the paper reaches the finisher. It doesnt actually enter the finisher (S1). The tech thinks the jam code is 1011, he knows it referred to PI5 sensor. Any ideas why this would only happen on a larger copy job and how to resolve? Thanks for any help.

Re: 2870 jamming
I had this kind of jam on a 3025 and just cleaned the crap out of the ramps leading in. I was afraid I was going to have to take apart for sensor but didnt have to. The noise is a mystery. Make sure you have the updated pads for the duplexing feeder guide 2 item 6 in PC. The pads were updated to white ones. fc9-4659Comment
