    C700 ImagePress - Auto Gradation

    Going to look at one of these in the morning.

    How do I change the auto grad frequency on this?

    I've looked in the service manual but can't see it.

    Thanks in advance

    Ok found it.

    Looks like Canon have changed the name to:

    INTPPR-1 on this model.

        if u mess with this setting > u will disrupt long print run Color Balance / Stabilization Control
        Note: Using this service mode depending on the severity of the symptom, because changing this mode will increase the execution intervals of the control or stop the control, possibly causing the density variation.

        I used to throw sales people down the stairs, when they wanted me to please the customer & change "Adjusting gradation. Please wait a moment."

        changes = more service visits

            Re: C700 ImagePress - Auto Gradation

            Hi All,

            Hope someone can help me with this one, When I do a printer only auto grad it stops after about 5 pages with the message auto grad canceled.
            I have notice that the last two pages with yellow and magenta is missing half the gradation print(lower half). anyone have this problem before?

            Cheers

              ********:-/

              First check;

              Set "Initialize When Using Full Adjustment" to On and perform a printer only Auto Adjust Gradation. The gradation sheets should be printed correctly and the colors restored on them.

              See picture link___

              Then check:
              In Service Mode Level 2, under Copier / Adjust / P-Pascal there are a list of values for the color sensors.
              Example of repair :
              On a machine with similar issue, all the values were at 0.
              Tech Entered similar values from another machine and that corrected the issue.
              Tech then found the original P-Print for the machine and entered the values from the P-Print and the machine continued to work properly. Entering the values for the Color Sensors resolved the issue.

              There should also a label on the frame of the fixing / feeder assembly under the left front cover with the original sensor values.
