    [Error Code] E004-0017 on Image Press1110

    Hi to all,

    I have this issue this morning. The external heating roller assembly has realised more than 1000k. I have already resset the values of FX-EX-RL and FX6EX-U. As i don't have the external heater assembly, i will replace the different elements (rollers, bushings, bearings and thermistors)

    I am looking for any other idea other than what is stated in the service manual below:

    E004 0017 05 Title Heater ON/OFF detection circuit error


    Descriptionof detection


    ON/OFF detection circuit error of the external heat heater 2 (sub)
    Measures 1. Check the external heat heater 2 connector.
    2. Replace the external heat heater 2.*
    3. Replace the fixing heater control PCB.


    * Replace the external heat roller unit in the case of 1,000,000 or more.

      Check your voltage supply at outlet for proper supply & ground.

      Is printer on dedicated outlet_?

          Hi Teckat,

          In fact one of the heaters connecting wires was cut. Replacing the ecternal heaters has solved this issue.
