C3080 trouble getting device status and Dept ID to work with the print driver.

I am unable to get the UFR driver to verify the dept ID. Just crashes and says to check online info.

What would cause a no device status and this lack of driver communication to occur ?

Just UFR and not an old driver. One PC was XP, One win 7. I think Norton is stopping the ports. I think I have gathered the info i need. People have said Norton has stopped port coms. So an uninstall of that might solve but not sure how to put back norton and configure it yet.
