    error 197 advance 5051

Getting a E197 error continuously. Sub code 0101. Refers to CPU LSI communication, however there isn't any reference in the service manual regarding this signal. The device doesn't have initial rotation, error is immediate. Has anyone else had this error code, or more info on these signals, thanks!

      Hi,

there are many variants of the code E-197 in the manual, all of them say something about comms regarding the dc controller.

Have you tried replacing the DC controller, as the manual's fix for all of the E-197 codes listed, is to replace the DC controller.

      Cheers,
      SAZ911..........

Solved by cutting tie wraps, the wire cables along the main drive assembly. Would still have liked to find out about those signals though, only listed in the manual as error codes, no explanation at all otherwise in the manual.
        Thanks to those who answered!
