    [Misc] IR 2200 wants 11 x 17 for 8 1/2x11 print

We have a customer that is using Envisionware's LptOne to vend print jobs. The way the software works is it processes the print job with a virtual printer using a generic PS driver. Once the patron pays for it, it gets handed to the Windows IR2200 print driver to be printed out. I've installed this software with lots of Canon copiers with out any issues but I ran into something strange yesterday.
    Win 7 64 bit
Two paper drawers 1-letter 2-legal (plain paper for both). Driver settings for copier configuration look correct. There is a finisher installed.
First test using IR2200 PS driver.
Only when using the software to send a print job requiring 8 1/2x11 paper, the copier asks for 11 x 17 paper.

Second test using IR 2200 PCL5 driver.
    Same result.

Third test using the IR2200 UFRII driver.
All jobs printed prompted for 11 x 17 regardless of software used.

Fifth test using another Canon models PCL driver.
Same as result as third test.

Fourth test using a generic HP laserjet 5 driver.
    Same as third and fourth.

My question is: Is there a copier setting or firmware update for this model that makes it compatible with Canon's UFRII driver or a generic PCL driver or is this model only going to work with the IR2200 PS and PCL driver?

I tend to think it needs the IR2200 driver but the fact that it prompts for 11 x 17 even with Canon's UFRII driver makes me wonder if this is something Canon addressed at a later date.

I asked the customer if he'd had a tech in to be sure the copier's firmware was up to date. The customer said the tech was in a couple of days ago and told him the copier's firmware was up to date but we all know that customers almost never tell the truth. I want to be very careful with what I tell them as he'd mentioned he'd gotten a hold of a service manual.
