HELP !!! canon w8400 "filling ink " and stops in middle and freezez

Guys,

Please help me out
Wasting TONS of ink with this

Moved printer setting
removed ink carts

reinstall
goes thru fill ink cycle and stops in the middle every time on indicator
Print head is moved over from carriage

it does ck the nozzels but just stops

is there a way to "reset" this to stop it?

get it out of this fill ink mode?

also the panel freezez once in a while in service mode
or stops on a service cycle like clean head cycle and just stops


have to unplug for a long while to get it to respond

never finishes fill ink cycle !

print heads are good
even changed them
same thing


I thought there was a general reset

or is the eprom shot

Hi,

I cant tell you how to "reset" the ink fill process, all i can tell you is that you will have to follow canon troubleshoot guide which basically means you will have to replace parts, and then some...

i have had this issue on other models and there's always been a different fix for each.

to check;

1, head management sensor
2, purge unit
3, carriage relay pcb,
4, ribbon cable (main controller to carriage assy)
5, ink supply assy (L or R)

for me atleast, it was always one of the above, keep in mind you will be going through consumables while you try the individual parts, ink , printheads and maintenance cartridges.....

The printer was working and printing
there were no error codes.
and this one has very low use

less than 500 banners
