It's look like waste toner to me.Inspect area from drum cleaning ass'y to waste toner feed ass'y.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

The auger in the AP kit (process assembly) is not turning ( broken ) , or the waste drive belt is broken

        Hi,

I had a very similar issue this week, dirty copies, machine has 1.2 million on it, did a full fuser rebuild as part of a PM. Still getting v dirty copies, checked the ETB and it had lots of toner all over it, ordered a new ETB Cleaning assy and ETB Assy as never been changed on the machine as yet, manual says 500k for both of these parts. Fitted the new parts and CQ had improved but in the middle of the copy, a large black streak from leading to trailing edge. Took out the ETB parts i fitted to check and all working ok, but still the streak of black, about 3 inches thick.

In the end it turned out to be the drum cleaning blade. Took out the drum, flipped the cleaning blade and CQ is now perfect, alot of toner all over around the ETB and cleaning blade for the ETB, which threw me off track. The good thing is that doing the Drum cleaning blade on this model is really easy, about 20 mins.

        Hope it helps.

Did you not see a buildup of extra toner between the drum and mag roller.
Toner on the ETB is usually an indicator that the cleaner is not working properly

Those blades do not last too long. Don't know how you got 1.2 mill out of it.
I have never seen blades with a thick layer of caked toner on any other model
Sometimes I find it impossible to make clean copies by flipping the original blades
Anyhow the blades have been modified twice. The newest ones have a small barcode. Original ones had no barcode.
Also the retainer has been modified. Original has 2 bigger holes. New ones have holes all the same size.

I gotta say, I have 2 Units side by side in a school which have done in excess of 2M prints without changing the ETB or Drum Blades ......... unreal by the sounds of the Posts - however I do have the Parts on hand just in case.

PS - I have had other issues, ie - Fuser & Feed not reaching target.

yes i saw the build up of Toner on the ETB, this is what im saying, i saw that on my machine, i replaced the ETB and cleaning assy, but in the was due to the drum cleaning blade, probably allowing so much toner thru that the etb couldnt handle it....as i said , it threw me off course a little but the parts needed replacing anyway.

You are right, some do and some don't, just like the fusers.
i have one unit that breaks fusers every 150k, and I've seen some go 1 million.
Some primary coronas spot at 2-300k, some never seem to do so

I have had the auger in the cleaner unit break on these. At the front where the gesr slides on. Turn the cleaner gear on the back of the process unit and see if auger turns. Also check the cleaner drive assembly. They strip..I've replaced a few.
