Re: ir7086 machine intermittent hang
you say you are printing a lot of PDF's, is it Variable Data or just multiple copies of the same? is there a rip connected to the device? If you are printing variable data you may need to add a rip to the machine to process your jobs faster.

Re: ir7086 machine intermittent hang
since you say its not variable data, i dont think this will fix your issue, dont have much info on a rip for you but ive attached below what i do have. ill try get some more info for you regarding this imagepass-s1. but it only makes sense if your are printing huge files i.e: graphix or variable data where the fiery needs to process the job faster.
* also have you tried the little things like upgrading the firmware on the machine, or doing a clear to reset the machine or it controllers.
good luck,

Re: ir7086 machine intermittent hang
Documents with high resolution, you will suffer to print in every machine without RIP attached.
If you want change from Print after Rip and after it rips the data, print all material without pausing."Who loves the roses, must also bear thumbs"Comment

Re: ir7086 machine intermittent hang
I disagree. Print while ripping...I set all my machines to start printing immediately. Never an issue. I have had issues(especially with variable data...machine hangs up...) with Ripping before printing. It depends on what the job consists of). Try both ways to see if it has any effect. Like stated earlier, get a RIPComment

Printing some high resolution scanned books, ripping is very slow, because every scanned page is detected as an image.
In this case, just to understand better, it is not a good thing for machine to print a page and after 10 seconds to print another page.Printing continously is better for every high volume machine then printing and pausing constantly.
We dont know the if it is pdf problem or maybe network board problem or N Boot Rom.I would suggest to make a test.
Just scan 100 pages with 200 dpi as pdf and print the document to see if it will be any problem.
If machine will print it without hanging, the machine is ok, if it hangs, lets find the problem."Who loves the roses, must also bear thumbs"Comment

Re: ir7086 machine intermittent hang
Thank you guys for the feed back on my topic here. After few days scratching the head we found the cause of the problem the machine intermitent hang. Cause of the problem is the main controller p.c.b where the connection for the hard disk socket 1 of the pin have worn out. Problem solve after solder it back.Comment
