    ir5065 slow first copy

I have a ir5065 that takes forever for the first copy to produce but then works fine. Any ideas?

    Hi,
For the first copy you can hear a softly sound like.... tac tac tac.....?

can you see the error history there are error e001 or error 840

may be there are problems with the shutter fixing.....or unit fixing.... bushings and gears.......

    All the best

No noise or errors codes in history. Replace fixing unit. It acts as if it is coming out of Sleep Mode, but its not in sleep mode. If no one uses it for 10 or 15 minutes, it will take about 2 minutes for the first copy to print out, then 2nd, 3rd....copies come out on time.

Try to do HD check on the service mode this may help restore the problem.

Had this on an ir5075 we had out. Copier was at ready but would but would take a long time to start copying. Think it was related to the stapler on the finisher. Disconnect the finisher, switch on and see if it does first copy/print quicker.

In user settings under power option switch low to high power on standby mode.
