    C1 Issue on a Canon C3220

We just bought a used C3220 with an A1 send and C1 fiery. It seems like there's an issue between the C1 and the copier...it was working before we left the warehouse that we bought it from, then the guy at the warehouse said he'll clear everything through the service panel so that we have a copier with clean slate.

It looks like he cleared the MMI in service mode, because everytime the copier boots up, it freezes after about 30 seconds...the touch screen doesn't respond, nor do any of the keys on the keypad. But when i boot it up in FIXIP mode, it runs fine...copying at least.

My question is, is there any way i can fix this through the service panel, or do i have to reinstall the C1 software? if so, where do i get it? i remember reading somewhere else on here that someone downloaded it from somewhere...can't seem to find the post anymore.

OK, so i fixed it by removing the print controller in service mode, and putting it back on option 3 after a reboot...i guess i was thinking too hard =P

      Same problem

I have the same problem as your's.

The thing is that I bought this copier as a parts copier but the only problem it has is this freaking thing about the freezing panel.

I'm not familiar with Canon copiers. I know how to enter the service mode *28* but actually I was a bit lost when you spoke about switch 3 putting it on and off.. Can you light me up on this?

      Thanks

If your machine freezes during boot up, power it off then while holding down the 1 & 7 keys, turn it on to let it go into fixed IP mode...this way it can fully boot, so that you can go into the service panel.

Go into service mode, then BODY > OPTION > INT-FACE

Change IMG-CONT to 0. Save it, and power the machine off and on to let it boot.

Once it's booted up...go into service mode and change IMG-CONT back to 3, and reboot the machine.

Seems simple, but it worked for me...hopefully it'll work for you.

          Thanks a lot.

I'll try this and get back to you if needed.

          Thanks

Once you clear the MMI of 3200/3220 sometimes this problem occurs. Just reformat HDD, load system, language and rui or try changing the HDD if you have spare.
