Hello Everyone,
Thank you for all your help with choosing a Canon 7095. I have one now, and I have a few questions. I purchased several boxes of the E1 staples for the booklet finisher, and when I went to install a set I found that my finisher uses strips of staples that are at least a half inch longer than the E1 strips. (Each individual staple is the same size, but the strips are much longer, My finisher: 2 1/16" [52mm] long, E1: 1 3/8" [35mm] long). Does anybody have any idea why there is a difference, and how to get the right staples for this? Is there a way to use the E1 staples in this machine?
I also would like some input on the booklet trimmer for this machine. I have an opportunity to get a booklet trimmer for this at a low price, but the salesman told me that very few people use this unit, and it may be hard to get parts for it. Does anyone here have experience with this trimmer, and would you recommend it. I do not usually print books that need trimming, but when I do, it would be nice to have that feature, even though it uses a separate 220V plug. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
