Yes, the iR adv C2225 does scan to email.
First, talk to the IT/ email administrator of the company to ensure scan to email is authorized and to get the settings to be used with their email server. If they use an SMTP relay, Office 365 does not require a user email authentication. If they use Client SMTP submission, Office365 requires authentication by using a valid email address on their domain... such as printer@theirdomain.com and an authentication password. Also Office365 normally requires port 587 to be used for Start TLS when client SMTP submission is configured. Ensure the copier network settings are correct and of course... the copier is networked to their lan/wan with a valid ip address issued by their IT dept.
Assuming they use client SMTP submission... here are the common Canon settings.
Since I do not have a iRAc2225 Canon copier in front of me... the following settings are from memory and may need slight adjusting.
Function Settings> Send> Email/ ifax settings> Communication settings.
Enter the email address ie. printer@theirdomain.com
Enter the SMTP server address for Office365... 'smtp.office365.com'... press 'OK'
Turn on 'SMTP TX'
Press 'next'
Turn on SMTP TX
Turn on SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH)
Enter a user name... ie. printer@theirdomain.com
Enter the password for the email and press 'OK'.
If they use an SMTP relay... the settings are the same; except SMTP Authentication is off & their IT dept. must allow email to be sent from the copier ip address.
If all else fails... give the ip address and canon admin password of the copier to their IT/ email admin and have him plug in the information using the remote user interface. -
