[Misc] Canon C1 - a set of 4 generated points - one for each CMYK apear on prints.

Hello,

Regarding Canon Imagepress C1 ,


I attached one scanned print.

There are a set of four points generated by the machine visible on each print .
The four points are one Cyan , one Magenta , one Cyan and one Yellow.

After I changed the drum unit , two months ago ,the sets of points diapers.
I did not printed more than 200 prints in the meantime , using the new drum unit.

A Canon tech from my country told me that the set of 4 points appears when the drum unit is close to his life cycle.


Can some one tell me if there is a technical Bulletin from Canon about this problem?

Do you have more information about this problem.

Four Scratch Marks: The Four Scratch Marks reproduced on prints are as a result of the rear guide on the Pre-Transfer Corona breaking, causing the Pre-Transfer Corona to drop down scratching the Drum. The Scratch Marks look similar to the Four Dot Markings and can be easily mistaken for the Four Dot issue. The Four Scratch Marks can be easily identified by taking a close look at the Marks on the Prints generated with the Four Scratch Marks.

The Four Scratch Marks can be resolved by replacing the Drum (045B003AA) and Cleaner Blade (FC5- 8829-000) and if necessary; the Front Seal Plate (FL2-2707-000) and Rear Seal Plate (FL2-2708-000),
Front Seal (FL2-2713-000) and Rear Seal (FL2-2714-000).

Four Dot Marks:
The Four Dot Marks reproduced on prints are a result of foreign object in the Developing Assembly, Drum Cleaning Assembly and in some cases, the Image Scan Patch Sensor. This foreign object strikes the Drum
during the development process, damaging the Drum.
The Four Dot Marks can be resolved by vacuuming the Developer Assemblies, Cleaning Assemblies and opening and cleaning the Image Scan Patch Sensor.
Replace the Drum (045B003AA) and Cleaner Blade (FC5-8829-000) and, if necessary, the Front Seal Plate (FL2-2707-000) and Rear Seal Plate (FL2-2708-000), Front Seal (FL2-2713-000) and Rear Seal (FL2-2714-000).
Note:
Replacing the Start Developer instead of the Developer Assemblies is most cost effective.
