[Jamming] Load Paper Canon IRC2220

Hello,

I have canon IRC2220 request load paper in second draw but the draw is full of paper.
The machine can recognize the paper size but still show the draw is empty

any ideas

If its not lifting check solenoid sl5 or its spring

I had one that was the opposite but maybe related. No paper showed had paper and of course jam when copy. Push in on the drawer. Another tech went out because I wanted to try another cassette. He adjusted the pin on the right front so the cassete went in farther. If you reach back in the back you can activeate the paper empty sensor flag. It sounds like your sensor flag may not be coming down or is broken. The upper and lower out of paper is different.

Thanks for your replay, yes I can hear and see paper lifting normal but after that it is shown the cassette#2 is empty.

Remove the cassettes so that you can see ps18 and 19. The black flag is what passes the sensors on the other side.

Either use a can of air pushed passed this sensor flag to blow them out or use a blower brush. Moving the sensor flag out the way as you go to get to the other sensor.

If this does not work, then you have to pull out the cassette feed mechanism. It could save you 30 minutes work!
