    Canon ImageRunner C5235

    Hi Guys,

Need some help. I have a canon c5235 with stapler unit. whenever i print say 500 copies, there is no problem. However, if I print 500 sets of 2 pages with collate and staple settings turned on, the output tray does not move down much.

I can only print about 30 sets and the printer would show error " Output tray is full, please remove paper". However, the output tray never move much. If I print a job about 4 or 5 sheets with stapling function, then only about 10 over sets will be done and the tray is again full. After removing the paper, the printer will continue the job.

Is it a setting issue? Why the output tray is full after only 100 or 150 sheets? If i just print normally, I can get the output tray to fill 500 to 1000 sheets easily before the output tray is full error appears.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for reading

An 'Empty Output Tray' Message Appears, Even Though the Output Tray is not Full

    Problem :
After approximately 100 sets have been made and no matter the thickness, the message 'Empty Output Tray' message appears.

    Solution :
Setting the value of the following Service Mode Setting for the issue.

LEVEL2>COPIER>OPTION>USER>TRY-STP to 1 Changing this value will let the Finisher tray fill before the message appears.

    Note:
When making several 2 or 3 page stapled sets, the thickness of the staples can cause the corner of the stack to be much higher and the stapled set may block the output of the finisher causing jams or dumping previous sets to fall on the floor
