Canon IR 1600 fixing unit problems

Hello, I have problem with Canon IR 1600. 3/4 of the paper (at the begining) has text fixed, but 1/4 (at the end) is not fixed - when you put your finger on text you can smudge the text. Do you have any idea what to change: pressure roller, fixing roller, halogen heater or thermistors?
Why is 3/4 fixed and 1/4 is not fixed?

    Thank you very much.

Worn out heat roller bushings, change them first.
Defects are simple, our mind is complicated

I would replace the fixing unit. Expensive I think but last time I tried to order thermistors they were not available. I think you would have to take the fuser unit out to figure out why some of the text was fused. I used to leave those fusers alone until I had a problem. Not a fan of the removal.

When I take out the fixing unit and the pressure and fixing rollers will be in good condition, you think the thermistors are bad?

I see (without take out the fixing unit) that the pressure roller is in good condition, but some text was on it!

Maybe good idea, but the machine has 80.000 pages printed, but is 10 - 15 years old

"I used to leave those fusers alone until I had a problem."

Do you think thermistors instead fusers?

            Thanx.
