Canon 4035 Touch Panel issues

We have a 4035 with a touch panel that is giving us issues. When an item is selected on the touch panel it becomes unresponsive and must be selected multiple times in order to accept the selection. Other times an arrow is selected on the touch panel and the machine holds the arrow scrolling all the way to the bottom. The touch panel seems to hold the selected item for longer than desired. The touch panel (FK2-8477-000) has been replaced and the issue remains. Any ideas?

CPU pcb Assembly of the Control Panel may need to be replaced.
The CPU pcb is attached to the bottom side of the Control Panel.
