[Misc] NT-Ware Micard V2 Configuration Tool

    Hi team,

I have 2 units of NT-Ware Micard V2 connected to 2 Canon IR Advance copier machines. They are used for authentication using proximity cards.

My issue with the Micard V2 readers is that the default configuration only reads Mifare proximity cards. I need to configure them to read my client's existing cards which is a normal RFID card.

Tried searching for a tool to configure it but found none. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks and have a nice day

My dealership has been placing a lot of these micards for uniflow installation's, we use a program called pc prox. I believe it is a free download. here is a link. https://www.rfideas.com/support/prod...rt/pcprox-plus

Does PC Prox allow windows to use the card reader?

We are also using uniFLOW and the miCards, but sometimes users have fat fingers and cant login to register their badge.. Without the admin staff logging into uniFLOW and looking at the badge reader to see the last hardware ID they are unable to manually register the user account to badge..

      I hope that makes sense..

Yes. I've downloaded the PcProxConfig tool and tried it but it doesn't detect the card reader. Windows 7 can't find the driver for the Card Reader. So it remains an unknown device in device manager.

Did you manage to get it working with PcProx?

        Thanks again

Oh I See, I use the "Micard V2 Multi" together with Universal Login Manager. It works great with the Mifare Cards but won't detect RFID cards. Have been trying to use the PcProxConfig utility to configure it without any success. Hope someone has better luck than me.

Re: NT-Ware Micard V2 Configuration Tool

Just realized it only works with certain micard readers, I just programed a Micard plus with no issues but when I tried a V2 I found the same problem as you, sorry bout that. I went to the rfideas site and located a driver file but it doesn't work with windows 7 so unless they update it we are out of luck I guess. wondering if you tried a different reader you may be able to do what you want. I am far from an expert on the Micard's so I cant recommend a model that can do what you need.

I know this is an old thread, but according to uniFLOW, the MiCard V2 only reads HID prox cards..
