    [Misc] Irc2880 1st copy delay

    Hi all
Iam from India I have a problem with irc 2880. When switch on the machine. If I make the copy it will showing printing or waiting to print then after 2 or 3 mins only the copy will come out. After copies will come properly the problem is only the first copy delay.

Again if I switch off and on means same problem will occur

Please help.me to solve this issue.....

I have replaced the RAM from another machine but no use its worked properly for a day only...

Make certain that the paper source you select does not have HEAVY specified as the Register Paper Type.
When the paper source whether any cassette or the stack bypass is set to HEAVY, there will be a delay for the first copy as the machine waits for the fixing temperature to increase and other adjustments being prepared.

If you experience this problem, set the paper type for that cassette to PLAIN and test. This is a normal behavior and nothing is wrong with the machine itself.

          TECH tip
I always set that Fixing End Temp to -4

Setting FN-ENTMP to a -4 allows the Cooling Fans to stay in high speed mode which allows the fans to continue to cool the Fixing Film Edges.
FN-ENTMP is located in Service Mode > Copier > Option > Body > Level 1. After making the adjustment, reboot the machine to be sure the value is set in memory.

Setting helps when switching paper printing from
LTR direction> to LTR_R or Legal and back to LTR
          width.
Prevents those check cooling fan messages
