    Canon C3200 printer set up

I have downloaded the printer drivers from canon, but when you unzip the file, it does not start a setup procedure, it just gives you all the files. Which file do I put in the have disk menu to get it to recognize the printer? I havent set up a printer option this way in a few years....

Thanks for all the replies. I figured it out. Not used to having 16 different driver files to choose from and naturally the first one up was not the right choice. The right choice was PS3 setup.

Any one set up the scanner? Do you use the only scan set up file available, or is it on the MEAP disc, which I have.

Instead of trying to set up from add printer, go to canon driver folder you have just downloaded, in that folder you should find set up file, just click set up and just follow the steps, choose automatic search it will automaticly detects the ir c3200 as well as ip address, before you do that be sure you put ip address in c3200 at network setting.
If you want to install from add printer, what I do is when install from add printer, I unzip the file to new folder and install it from there,
Also, which op system do you use, if window vista, it already have printer driver for ir c3200
    goo luck....

man, there two kinds of printer to setup in c3200..the c1 and ufr...if u already assign an ip add to your machine and you can ping it in your pc or laptop, follow this procedure:

      1. go to printer and faxes
      2. add printer
      3. click next..hehe
      4. Local printer then next, next
      5. Create new port -> select the typ : Standard TCP/IP port
      6. then Next and type the IP Address of your 3200 machine
      7. Next and so on...then
      8. then Click browse the source drive/directory of your driver (inf file?)
      9. then Print test page....

        Step 8.5
BEFORE a test print....go to the driver properties and select 'Get device status"...then the driver will pickup any accessories that are installed on the copier.

            canon c3200 IP

I was given a canon c3200. I saw a thread on how to set it up by installing a new port. I got the IP address out of the machine but when I tried to set up the port, it could not find the IP address. On the control panel of the copier, it shows the network as being connected. Any ideas on how I can get the network to recognize the IP address of the copier?

Have you been able to ping it? Try putting the IP address of the copier into the address bar of Internet Explorer and see if you can reach it that way. Also, how familiar are you with networking concepts? We have no way of knowing what your knowledge level is
