    [Electrical] E227-0001 Error

    Hi,

I just wondered if anyone had this error code on an IRADV 5045i,where the machine seems to lose it's 24v,and there is only the green standby light on the control panel left on,and the printer is dead.It seems to point to the machines psu.Any info would be great.

🍻To trouble shoot the 24V power supply:
Meter J412, pins 3, 4 & 5 (red wires) on the Relay pcb UN5. Pins 3, 4 & 5 should all measure 24vdc on a working supply. If no 24vdc is present (as in this case), the next check is to J412, pin 1 (yellow wire), this is the remote signal. 1.9vdc should be measured, and 120vac should be present into the 24v power supply at J1102.

In this case, the 24V was missing, the remote voltage 1.9vdc and 120vac was present. Replacing the Power Supply Box Assy. FM3-6031-000 resolved the E227 code.

Is machine dead with just green light or is displaying an error....two different scenario. If its dead, Main 1 not generating remote signal to turn on power supply possibly. Changed many main controllers for this

          Hi Canuck,

The machine dies and only the green light on the control panel is on ,no display. When this happens even if you turn the machine off then on it remains dead. But if you leave the machine alone for 20/25 minutes,it will come alive and start working again until it dies again.....Normally 3/4 hours later, hope this helps.

for some reason>there are many power issues on this series----------

do any motors and fans or initial rotation happen ----was there any storms before this issue ? / does Printer come back to ready then panel goes off ??
does this happen to your printer-------------No power > green LED only

At times, the machine will power up and get to a ready screen but then the display will shut off again intermittently.
When the display shuts off there are no sounds from anything in the machine turning or running.
Powering the machine off and back on will not reset the problem.
The machine has to sit for some time before it may power up again.

Replace the main power supply and the relay pcb at the same time.
The main power supply is referred to as the power supply box assembly in the parts catalog and the relay pcb is referred to as the relay board assembly in the parts catalog. The part number for each part is listed below:

            Power Supply Box Assembly FM3-6031-000
            Relay Board Assembly FM3-7935-000

Thanks very much again for your help
