imageCLASS D100 series (TYPE I) or (TYPE II)

I see in the copy of the service book I have for the D1100 series machines that it mentions (TYPE I) and (TYPE II) machines.

Was wondering what the difference was? does it say that on the serial number plate?

    thanks.

    - was looking at the directions for replacing the fuser and saw directions for both types.

Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
