iR 5030 - Recieving Data, but not printing

Good morning everyone.

As said in the headline already, my iR5030 recieves data (green light blinking, etc.) but then does not print. Just goes back to normal as if nothing ever happened.
No matter if i print a windows test page, or a big file from photoshop...
Time of recieving corresponds with file size.
Network Ping is fine.

Any ideas?

I've had a similar thing before with a ir-ADV 2020i where everything was fine network wise, I could ping it and get a reply, but it just would not print anything.
I downgraded the driver from the PLC6 to the PLC5 and it seemed to work.

Check if you have installed PS-driver without PS printer kit on IR.

Thanks guys.

It works with PCL, seems there is no PS option installed.
Where can i get that option?
And how to install?
(I know from other brands like Ricoh, it is installed by simply placing a SD-card into a slot on the printer..but there seems to be no slot on the iR)

I really need to use PS, as PCL is not giving acceptable print results..

you will also need to install additional memory type b 512mb item #3668B001CA for the ps to work

Hm, ok..thanks for that information.

Anyways, according to Canon (Germany) the PS Kit is no longer available for that machine.
Is it possible to run it with a RIP?

yes you can but you will need the memory to do that as well.
