Banding on a C1 normally comes from a gear or drive that creates the judder. I would check the following:
    1) Fuser drive gears, 2) drum and developer drive at the back behind the flywheel, 3) ITB drive .
What I have done before is to apply a thick grease to drum/dev drive gears to prevent play on them.

I hope this may bring some ideas to rectify your problem

      Hope this helps-
We had a similar problem 1 year after getting our NEW C1+ 4 years ago - it started faint - got continually worse - the machine was under contract, so we recieved replacement everything - drum and drum units(3)/all new developer housings (twice), new fuser assembly(complete) - ITB assembly(2)/new wiring harness/new flywheel(?)/new motor assemblies - finally had Canon corporate "super tec" come out and conclude that it was within specs - contract canceled because we were too demanding - It got so bad that the copy was unsellable - we pushed it in the corner (with 2 years left on payments) and bought a used one from ebay - ran like a champ-

I took a weekend to start troubleshooting ( I am an old copier tech) - found that the gear assembly part #FL2-2743-000 - was worn terribly - kind of hard to replace (cheap @16.00)but fixed it instantly - since have replaced it on 2 other of our C1's -

If the banding it in the direction of the paper feed we have found: new grid, age of ITB, age of drum, and condition of developers - had the yellow go bad yesterday - started banding on just the yellow - still had plenty of life left according to the count but . . . tried a stir, finally dumped and replace and followed the TP procedure back to normal -

      Thats where I would start

        As others have posted ,
pitch lines on this series is a known nortorious issue.
Some fixes work on some , and some don't
What works on some may not work on others.
        Can be a crap shoot.
You have received some valuable information.
