    irc3480 thin yellow line

I have a C3480 with a thin yellow line that appears only on full color copies. I have changed out the yellow drum and transfer belt assy and cleaned all the laser slots. It does not appear on black copies, single color magenta, cyan or yellow copies only on full color copies. It is VERY faint so I can't really tell if it goes to the edge of the page. I've attached a copy, you will have to look for it, it is across the 30 line (horizontally).

    ??_ does it move
??_ is it on Network Printing
Is your image test print_ Crossfeed( operator to read side)
or Paper feed (lead to trail edge_?

    # clean the lens of the CCD and then run the following adjustments in service mode:

    COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD > DF-WLV1
    COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD > DF-WLV2

The line can be visible either from the platen glass or the DADF during stream read. _?

It does not move, copier is only set up for copying right now so no network prints to test. It does not show up on the gradation adjustment test print. Image test print is crossfeed. The line is visible on both dadf and glass.
Cleaned lens on CCD, Ran the adjustment as shown above.

Cleaned lens on CCD, The DF-WLV1 runs OK, but WLV2 says NG!

Have u cleaned the dust proof glass_?
Check the Dust Proof Glass for soiling. The glass is located under each unit and may have toner spilled on it. Clean the glass with the tool provided on the front door.

I did clean using the tool but I think I will try to manually get into the glass and clean with a soft towel. I also noticed alot of yellow toner on and behind the transfer roller inside the right door.

Stationary line on this model usually points to an optic.

Right, you have helped me find that in the past when I had a black line that showed up on everything even a blank copy. What confuses me on this one, is it only shows up on full color copies and not single color copies or black. I took 3 blank sheets and wrote Test in yellow, pink and blue marker and selected Full Color and they all had the yellow line, but when I ran them using Single Color Cyan, Magenta, and yellow they did not have the line. And it doesn't show up running a blank copy either.

Would this tell us anything......I noticed if I run it thru the feeder the yellow line is about 1/2 inch higher than when I place it on the glass. The image still lines up correctly but the line is different.

Stream Read is used when using DF,
                  document is bypassing copy glass.

                  Crossfeed= check ITB _?

I actually changed out the entire process unit with one from a working copier, no change. I'm thinking it has to be the CCD or laser unit? Tomorrow I will try those 2 items.

What i'd like to know in these cases, is it printing or scanning.
What if you just scan a document full color, does the PDF have the line ? If so, stop looking at drums, ITB's etc...
