C224e Email scanning Issue

Hi,

I installed a C224e a few weeks ago and there is an issue with scanning to email.
It works 99 times out of 100 but every now and then it comes up with "Server Connection Error"
if they try the same job again to the same user it will work fine.

It is email scanning, so it goes straight into there email box.

Any help would be a great help

Is it G Mail,Microsoft excange? Try increasing the timeout to 60 seconds and also make sure you have no size limit on the e mail side and the copier. A few colour pages can be more than say 10 MB and that may be over the set limit on the copier or the server.

Are you using host name for email server? Try using the IP address of the email server. I've had a few issues with this.....
