Whats the most anyone has ever got out of one of these office machines ?

Going to keep this one going for another 6 months, does 100k per month without fail still has original FS-526, hole punch and saddle unit. It's been mostly me looking after it so I know exactly whats been done to it so far. The vast majority of the printing has been a3 saddle stitched booklets.

Had one at a school..did 5 million no problem in 4 years!

I'm going to miss the 5 million mark - maybe it will get to 4.

this one is one of 3 side by side all abused equally, paperless ? what the hell is that ...

2 @ 2mill and they run 90% color only.....I will have 554e's pushing 7 million in a couple years. that should be interesting

Are you regularly lubricating the registration bushings ? (554)

I regularly syringe a few drops of full synthetic oil on them on each call on high volume machines - has stopped me having to rebuild them completely. Only ones that seize now are ones I have never been to.

I try to stay away from lubricating anything below the secondary xfer roller as it tends to collect more toner or paper dust. But cleaning them with scotchbrite every other drum change is a must.
