konica 501 restore scanning

I got a new customer that wants scanning restored . I not to familiar with this machine.How can I tell if scanning option is present? What do I need to know and or have with me before starting ? thanks

does control panel have option of scanning, also computer icon, scan to folder or email

Can the machine print?
It depends on how you are going to setup the scanning, Ftp or SMB or webdav or email scan, even network twain.
Email scan works the best. It will be a little tricky to set-up for the first time if you don't know bizhub machines.
I suggest you get the correct user guide to help you get thru it.

Check if you can login with PSWC by entering the machine IP into the browser. For email scan you need to remember to enter the sender address.

The 501 scanned out of the box, adding the HDD helped with larger documents and added scan to user box. If your SCAN/FAX button beeps when pressed then you have some other problem. Before proceeding I would need to know what your symptoms are ie no scan mode...scan fails...ect..Emujo
