C253 Network settings disappeared after fw upgrade

After upgrading the firmware on a brand C253 to ver J8 the Network Settings in the Admin meny have disappeared. Also the One Touch/User BOX registration button was gone, but it turned out that the HDD had become disabled. After setting the HDD to installed that problem was solved but the Network settings is still not there.
Any suggestions?

Worse case senario is the NVRAM. Been there done that. Can you ping it? See if you can remotely access the controller using the last known IP address.

I've heard that if you wait awhile (30 minutes after turning both switches off then on) the network tab will come up, i havent tried it though.
