C3110 Account track setup

Hi All,
I am trying to setup account track on a new C3110.We have added the hard drive and configured the user authentication and account track.The device shows place Id card and does not allow you to log in to make copies.The only way to log in is through public login.We have updated the firmware and initialised the machine.It seems as if it is looking for an external authentication unit.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I ran in to the same issue. Posting my findings hoping to save others some time/frustration.

Although I think it could and should be stated much clearer in the user guides and elsewhere, I did find in my training pdf that this model requires a hard drive and an authentication unit.
