Enter service mode, touch 8(parts life counter) then start, then press 2 (pc life counter) press clear. The drum, developer, and blade counts will all zero out if you run an F8 also.

        To enter service mode:
        touch METER COUNT then
STOP ZERO ZERO STOP ZERO ONE
this is service mode. the easiest way for you would be to remove your toner bottle, then touch ONE the screen will say F then touch 8 and press start and the machine will do an ATDC adjustment. When it finishes, touch panel reset twice to return to user mode, and put your toner bottle back in. YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR TONER BOTTLE BEFORE YOU RUN THE ADJUSTMENT.
If this doesn't clear your message, then enter service mode and do the steps in the previous post.

Darn, I never knew that. Always zeroed the port counter prior to F8. Or is my memory failing me and the 2030 was fancier/more advanced than the 2050?

The 2030 is a newer machine than the 2050. I did like the 2050 for its copy quality, but its older siblings were really junk as far as the d/u

Turn off the copier! Or don`t make any copies!! Why do you want to stop the counter?

This could be somewhat like stealing. Fraud comes to mind......
