[Misc] C-1070 With an IC-415

Hi guys,

I have a C-1070 with an IC-415 on it. It was maybe about 2 months ago that this controller went off line and the controller button on the screen was grayed out. I tried restarting it several times and nothing happened. So I reload the Fiery system software. Well that did not go all too good, but I got it done. I put on version 2.1. So move forward to today 6/6, I get a call, the same thing. The copier is off line. I have not gone there yet. I am just wondering is there some secret when this happens that I dont have to reload system software?

Hard drive was bad. New hard drive and new system software and away we went!!!

This is often, after reformating and loading System software and another Sytem fail, its mostly the harddrive.
Today you can be happy to get a drive fom the open market, several years ago i had to get a complete familiar device
with heads, cylinders etc....
