Have formatted and replaced HDD

Customer says it only happens when scanning and usually in afternoon.

When I get there the machine is running fine I have yet to duplicate the problem.

The past times i've had this error the hdd replacement fixed it. I'd recommend trying to update the firmware to the newest available and try the hdd again. If no luck, look into another hdd replacement. Also did you replace the hdd or did you replace the whole assy with the board that is glued to it?

I got a HDD from konica that did not have board attached so did not use it. Instead I pulled one from another machine - formatted it and still intermittent D096.
I now have machine in shop (took them a loaner today).
I tried to update the firmware from release level 5 and it keeps coming up with a C164 error code even tried to step update the firmware still C164.

Got with Konica and they said there is an update to the main control board and the print head. They recommended replacing the machine under their warranty swap out program.
So that is what we are going to do.
