ineo 454e tray 1 and 2 acts differently !

hello everybody ,

one of the tray reads A4 and A3 normally the second shows 8 1/2 x 11 & 11 x 17 witch is US

i checked marketing area Europe is selected

what could be the problem of tray 2 ? should i change it completely ?

i should mention that the employees open and close the trays on every print job due to paper consume regulations !

Check the detection system. Even if the marketing area is set correctly the machine will still use non metric standards if say letter paper is put in the trays.

It allows u to mix the standards. So I think there is a mechanical problem on the machine.

Probably the wiring loom that fits on the sliding size block has broken.
I've had quite a few break, especially if the trays are taken in and out a lot.
