    c8000 Fuser issue

Been getting 3911's off a low-use c8000 - checked the fuser elements and they seem fine, fusing roller & belt are within lifespan.

Noticed this happened twice today on a large run, in both instances the data light on touchscreen kept blinking whilst it was "warming" then it coded after exactly 1514 sheets...can't be a coincidence!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look at next?

That code can be triggered by a fuser drawer connector not seating correctly. Sometimes it's necessary to install some spacers to allow for better connectivity.

Thanks mx, didn't realise it could be spacered!

        Hi,

Visually check the heater filaments at the UHR, Testing is via continuity is bit tricky 'coz the 3 heater lamps are combined on both ends.

        Good Luck

Thanks Quatro - I'd checked both ways, seemed ok on both counts...
