we have a biz 223 that is showing code 8101 the service manual is not very forthcoming has anyone a simple answer,thank you

Also check for something that may be stopping the rollers from pressing or releasing.

Likely paper left from a jam. Those feeders are very tough to make reliable from what I've seen.

Then there is a B36 DF.

The DF-621 can take a beating. Except the plastic the sun deforms it like nothing i have seen before.

If you are scanning the improved "paper present" actuator (with the magnet in it) is a must have.

If you want something easy to try first, install firmware G00-D6. It addresses the C8101 issue.
