    DRUM FLIP

Know what you mean, but wasting another 6500 drum unit and time spent getting to customer fixing the fault out ways the cost of drum units, the customers stopped complaining since doing this which has given them more production time and more volume and copy revenue for the boss with less maintenance costs. we did try fitting the drums and application bars from the discarded 8050 units to old 8050 drum units returned from pm's with great success. yes its alot of work changing it over but the rewards are worth it.

The problem we have is that I think there are only about 6 8050/C500 units here and are mostly lower to mid volume use and about 20 C5500/6500 with 10 high volume so the number of available used 8050 drums are no even close to what we would need to keep up with the required volume on 6500's. I'll see what the boss thinks of killing off some du101's

Thanks, the new green dot drums are in Canada as of last Friday now to see how many we get. What I found out today was the green dot drums are the DU102b's with the C500 blade and holders, not sure if they also have the applicator rollers from the C500 or the C6500.

            Hi all,

I'm new to this site but I recived some information today that may help this on going flipping issue.

I work in Sydney Production for KM and have been given a part number for a new and improved DU-102B.

Believe it or not it's called a DU-102C! How original I hear you say!

Below is the part number for the new drum!

                  Generic Part #'s

It does seem that the part numbers are Universal however the most current number we have is A0400y2. This drum had the coating on it and helped to eliminate the toner sticking..I guess your area has more current equipt...And so we wait.

                  Cheers.
