    IC-401 Fiery Web tools problem

Does anyone have problems opening the Fiery Web Tools on a IC-401(C350) from Firefox 3?
Our customer have two Mac computers running 10.4 and when you try to open the Fiery Web Tools, you get the message "opening the java applet failed".
    Firefox version is 3.0.3.

      Is deffinately a Java issue.

On older machines you can have this issue running the applets on newer versions of java.

      Have you tried other browsers?
Fierfox 3 is pretty new, that could also be giving you the problems.

That or it is a security/firewall issue, maybe it is not alowing the applet to run as the Fiery commonly gives certificates that are not trusted.

If you have a Windohs machine available you can try running the setup through there via Command Workstation.
Unfortunately the Mac version does not have the server setup option.

It's a JAVA issue. I haven't seen it with these specific circumstances, but try updating the JAVA plug in.

If you can find an original user software disk for the IC401, load the version 2 java runtime environment. The older controllers are not compatible with the new java esp. version 6.
