    554e slow response

    Hi all. Got called to mono 554e with a rebooting problem. When multiple print jobs are sent it will print the first one then state an error has occurred and then reboot itself and then sit there with the data light flashing. On turning the machine off then on it will go through the whole process again. The error logged is fa14 and it seems to have had this issue for sometime. The other thing is that with the lan cable out the machine is really slow to respond to key presses and occasionally freezes. I updated the firmware to the latest level but still have the issue. I am thinking along the lines of memory/hard drive mfp board.
    Has anybody had this before?

      Bulletin KBA01401998 says to install base firmware G00-G9 or G20-G9 to resolve FA14. And bulletin KBA00030429 says to install special firmware GD4-M0 or GD4-M1 to resolve slow responding touch screen. Always install base firmware first before installing special firmware.

          Thanks for the info. I'll have to see if this firmware is available in the UK.
