Re: C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
Had a c7000 a few weeks ago where it dumped about 80% of the yellow developer, though it was not this far towards the front. Found that a bearing failed in the mag roll itself. If you remove all of the developer from the dev unit, then remove a few gears so the mag roll can spin independently, you will feel "binding" as the bad bearing turns. No choice but to replace the whole dev tank. C7000 Y Dev Dump.jpgC7000 Y Dev Dump (2).jpg

Re: C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
I run C6501s and you can let Drums go, but not DV or DV units, 200K max on DV and 800K max on dv units, one extra PM is all i let them go. Even then we have some issues, never dumping but bad prints.
Corona should never go over life, they are cheap insurance.Leave a comment:

Re: C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
Since you replaced the dev unit, I will say your problem will be solved. Had a few of these in the field. The dev unit would spill after they reached a certain age.Leave a comment:

Re: C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
I also use du-104 and can confirm what you said but you never know...
Check this piece under the magnetic roller if it is bent or too close to roller and brush toner from roller,it could cause toner spiling and drum potential sensor get dirt and error code like you have.

Re: C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
Drum is altmost at the end of life and charge is replaced preriodicaly because it is the only one that gets regulary dirty.
Drums that I use ar DU-104 and usualy they are doing 200%.
But if the prolem is the drum why is spiling, mostly, in the front and not on the all the unit?Leave a comment:

Re: C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
What is the life status of drums?
Replace developer without replace drum and charge unit is never good.Leave a comment:

C6500 C-2811 developer spiled
Hi,
I have replaced Y developer and made the necesary adjustment's about 30 days ago (it has 5%). Now it had C2811 so when I open it it has Y developer spilled mostly in the front part. I know that it cand dump developer thru lower-front part of the station, because it has the metal plate that under a lot of pressure releases what is inside. But how can I find why is doing it?
