[Misc] Bizhub 4422

Looking to place 6 of these in a chain store where space is limited. Customer is in need of a small machine that can do 5-10K a month. My question is what kind of experience has anyone one had with these units or its predecessor ----- Good\Bad or indifferent?

A few items of note..
1. Does not support SMB scanning
2. Comes with Internal NIC and wireless, but can't use both at the same time
3. Prints out scan report after each scan (to FTP). Have not found a way to turn this off.

Other than that, it's about the same as it's predecessors. Emujo

Engine is ok, but ADF's are shitty....had a lot of problems with predecssor, but they made a change in the rollers to the ADF on the new models. At that volume I would push more for the 4052. Lot more features and more robust, also 1/2 the operating cost too... Similair footprint, just a bit taller.

Ive had a lot of IUs fail. Thankfully these are cheap. Ive only used the 4422p but that doc feeder doesnt inspire much faith just looking at it.

But its lexmark and cant be worse than a C35 lol

Does you know if this MFP do Fax to Folder ?


In the specifications KM says: Scan-to-e-Mail; Scan-to-FTP; Scan-to-SMB; Scan-to-USB; Network TWAIN scan

Thanks for the replies. Think I'm going stay clear from these if the adf's are weak as the customer will be scanning a fair amount.
