    Konica 7033 Networking Question

I have a Konica 7033 that I would like to integrate into my computer network. I'm not really sure how to do this and I'm not getting a lot from the user manuals. I'm attaching a picture of the serial/parallel(?) interface on the back on the machine.

Any suggestions for this newbie? I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    Sorry, no.

You need a print controller. Getting one at this time would be tough. This machine is no spring chicken.

To other techs, is the 7045 the only one of this family, 7033,40,45, with the controller and NIC mounted in back?

      IP for 7033,40,45

I hate to dissillusion you but these m/cs are not plug and play they are very difficult to set up.
You will need an IP 431 for a 7045 and a different IP for 7033,7040 (cant remember Number) but they plug in at the rear and the set up is a nightmare.

The port that you are showing has absolutely nothing to do with printing. That machine has 2 different types of interface available ( they were available 8 years ago ) an internal which supports print and scan (tiff only ) and an external which supports print only, and requires the copier to have a CIC (Copier Interface Card ) . From the picture you have given your copier has neither.

Firmware port. there should also be a power plug as well.
You could update firmware with a laptop or a device that you loaded uo with eeprom's - this device needed power from the machine, I only ever saw it in training.

I always used a laptop and the machines are ancient so I could be wrong.

                Cheers.

Read the sticker below the port. It's self explanatory.
