c6500 printing jobs with gray background

I have a c6500 running with EFI Command Workstation 5 Fiery that will sometimes
print jobs with a gray background (instead of white).
This is happening more often now. When I print a copy straight out of the C6500,
it prints fine (no gray background).

I'm thinking that there is nothing wrong with the c6500 mechanically since copying is
fine. Wondering if problem is communication between Fiery and C6500.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen this happen with pdf scans--even though it looks white it prints with a gray brackground.

Check connections to/from fiery

I would check the scsi connection between the fiery and printer, sometimes it breaks or causing grounding, another possiblity is the setting try doing a auto gamma test and see if that helps

but im sure is a grounding issue.

Is it edge to edge gray background or can you see a white non-print area the whole perimeter of the page???[emoji848]
