    C6501 - diferences from C6500

Can anyone please tell me the diferences between the new and the old model? And I'd also like to know the diference between IC303 and IC305. Thanks a lot

This is not an exhaustive list, just the more important points that I have noted so far:

Toner bottles are different, just the end cap, but the toner is the same.

Black drum has a polished surface to avoid deposits which lead to white spots.

The mainchargers are different, and allow adjustment of contrast between front and back. (Not sure how it works, but it's there in the menu, and makes a difference.)

In cassette 4 and 5, the blue "wingnuts" to fix the width guides have a washer on them now, to avoid the plastic cracking by spreading the force.

No doubt there are more similar refinements, and all in all, it's a very satisfying machine to work with.

IC303 vs. IC305 ? Not sure, they use the exact same software. Digginn into the technical specs might reveal some hardware differences, like HDD size and processor speed.

Just to validate some of setrights comments

The toner bottles have more capacity.

There is a new type of drum called DU102B which fits in all positions and is supposed to have a coarse surface to prevent drum deposits.

The main chargers have a mechanical adjustment but this is only to be done in the factory. The user has the ability to adjust density across the page in eight sections for each color.

Someone posted a pdf going into detail perhaps a search will help you here. \

303/305 will print exactly the same processing power is the only difference.

Don't forget those new flimsy jogging arms on the Stapler stacking unit.
