    5000i/5020i

Hi, I recently saw the new 5000i/5020i
What do you think? It looks like they have wireless and shouldn't cost much.
Moreover, apparently the maintenance seems easier.

Search for them on MPlus, there is product tech training on those I did. You will learn something.
1 hint - they are Brother to the bone.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

yes, it's born from Brother, I guess it will be better than the Lexmark-oriented models.

I have a new 5020i printed 8K pages, now some grey lines appeared on print out,
checked the official life of imaging unit it can afford 50K, so consider the drum can work longer.

Check drum unit. There is a charge cleaneron top. Should similar to bizhub 20. On those I used to remove charge wires (with cleaner) from top of drum unit vacuum it and lines were gone.
Drum unit lasted 2-3 times more than declared. 8k is little bit early for problems but you never know what can go inside.

8k is nothing still probably on starter toner. Have them to move few times green tab of wire charger cleaner. Make sure there's no stuck debris in drum unit especially between charge wire and drum surface.

On the original Brother i have problems with the fusers... sometime i have to change the fuser (to low temperature)and sometime the fuser cover (paper stuck in the fuser)
                    The other parts are ok.

Image background an lines may appear if the toner empty before toner end detection. if the printer is still running with it's setup toner that might be the problem.

They consumed the starter toner and replace with large capacity genuine toner, after 1 week they reported this issue.
I visited and some vertical grey lines appeared on center region of printout.

                            Brother has no reset chip.

If so, on brother/KM sister models, how to identify it's a new toner cartridge?
