    How to clone ic204 print controller from bh420-500

    Hi All
    I'm try to connect to print controlller (IC number = CY8C24123 ) via pro-pSoC with RS-232C but has error message "ID not match"

    if u can, please let me know.

    I don't believe that the RS-232 port is directly connected to the print controller. Just like the NIC, the RS-232 port is mounted on the main board.

    If I have guessed right, then if you want to clone the chip on print controller, then you will probably have to desolder it from the board. Thing is, and I'm not sure on this one, there might be legal restrictions in doing so.
    Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

      I'm sorry for my mistake communication. English isn't my first language.

      I already remove the chip from the mainboard then i try to clone the chip but has an error message when connecting to access the chip by PSoc Programmer Kit via RS232.

        I think it may have some safe guards to prevent you from doing what you want to do. Obviously you are very knowledgeable but I've attached the data sheet for that chip if other may be interested. Let us know if you are successful.

          RS 232

          The serial ports on bizhubs are mounted for CSRC (remote care) communication.
